Explore the Olmsted Legacy on the UW Seattle Campus
Enjoy a walking tour of Olmsted features on the UW’s Seattle campus as you learn about the Olmsted brothers’ legacy.
Between 1903 and 1909, in preparation for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, the city of Seattle acquired and developed many of the parks and boulevards recommended in the Olmsted brothers’ 1903 report, including those that would approach the fairgrounds at the current UW campus in Seattle.
Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for this two-hour tour, which will total about two miles of walking.
