And, as the availability of hearing aids has expanded to include over-the-counter options, how do you determine what’s most effective for you? In this online session, Speech & Hearing professor Yi Shen will provide information and guidance on how to maintain this key area.

Yi Shen, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences and part of UW’s Applied Hearing Science Lab. His research includes understanding the mechanisms responsible for individual differences in the difficulties experienced by listeners with hearing loss and determining why people with hearing loss experience variable benefit from assistive listening devices.
