Bowling at the HUB!
How long has it been since you’ve bowled at the HUB’s lanes? (Have you ever?) Come for a fun, noncompetitive morning with fellow UWRA members. UWRA has reserved lanes and shoes — all you have to do is register and show up. No experience necessary. If you’d like to attend as a spectator only, that’s fine too!
If you’d like, grab a complimentary cup of coffee or tea at the UW Club before you head across the street to the HUB. After the exercise, you’re invited to join other participants upstairs in the HUB food court for a no-host lunch.
The Husky Union Building (HUB) opened in 1949, and the bowling alley was added in 1952 as part of an expansion of the building. Fans of the alley were happy to see it retained in the major HUB remodel that began in 2010. The games area now includes esports (electronic gaming) as well as pool & billiard tables, ping pong, board games, air hockey, and bowling. The check-out counter was built using planks from the original lanes.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: HUB entrances are barrier-free. The basement bowling alley is accessible by elevator and power-assisted door. HUB Games can provide a ramp for bowlers with limited mobility. Please contact UWRA with any specific accessibility needs.
All UWRA events and programs are open to all eligible persons regardless of race, sex or other identity.
