Build Resilience with Be Real
The UW Resilience Lab invites UWRA members to participate in Be REAL (REsilient Attitudes and Living), a well-being program designed to help participants navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience, self-awareness, and compassion.
The program consists of 4 weekly 90-minute sessions that combine engaging group discussions, interactive partner activities, and guided contemplative practices in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Sessions will be held on September 22, September 29, October 6, and October 13 at the UW Club on UW’s Seattle campus.
Participation is offered at no cost to UWRA members. Whether you are looking to better manage stress, adapt to life transitions, strengthen emotional well-being, or simply learn new tools for thriving, Be REAL provides skills that can be applied in everyday life.
Through practical, evidence-based techniques, Be REAL (REsilient Attitudes and Living) teaches cognitive behavioral skills for managing emotions and responding effectively to stressful situations, mindfulness practices that strengthen self-awareness, and strategies for cultivating compassion toward oneself and others.
The group will be led by Megan Kennedy, director of the UW Resilience Lab.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: Spaces of the UW Club, including restrooms, are fully accessible. The speaker will not be amplified for this small-group session. If you have any accessibility questions or concerns, please contact UWRA.
All UWRA events and programs are open to all eligible persons regardless of race, sex or other identity.
