Husky Grind: Coffee Cupping
Elevate your enjoyment of good coffee when you dive into Seattle’s coffee culture at Husky Grind, UW Dining’s award-winning coffee program dedicated to exploring one of the world’s most popular beverages!
Attendees will participate in a coffee cupping, learning to use sensory input along with a scoring system to evaluate and compare one or more iterations of roasted coffee, using the same method professional coffee tasters do.
Husky Grind gives the UW community a chance to explore the complexities of coffee through fun, in-depth and hands-on workshops that dive into history and supply chains, roasting, brewing and sensory development.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: The workshop leader will use a microphone. The location is wheelchair accessible via an elevator from the North/Lander desk entrance. The South entrance is on the same level as the Chef’s Table. Seating is provided for the workshop.
