Members-Only Special Showing: The Boys in the Boat
Join us for this special UW-themed showing of the new movie following the University of Washington’s rowing team, from their Depression-era beginnings to their triumph at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. At this members-only event, you can cheer on the boys along with a full theater of UW retirees, alumni and friends, and enjoy fun extras like free popcorn and maybe even a visit from Dubs!

George Clooney directs this major motion picture adaptation of Daniel James Brown’s fact-based retelling of the story of nine working-class boys from the Pacific Northwest who won gold at the 1936 Olympics held in Berlin.
Each member in a household may separately purchase up to 4 tickets, and your guests may be anyone you wish.
The movie premieres on Dec. 25 and is rated PG-13. SIFF Cinema Uptown has accessible entry and seating as well as infrared listening devices. Please indicate any accessibility needs on your registration form.
