UWRA Book Group September 2026
Meets the second Friday of the month, September - June
If you’ve wanted a book club where everyone reads the book and where discussions are lively and varied, you’ve found it!
This month: Laura Spinney’s Proto-How One Ancient Language Went Global. Email UWRA and we’ll connect you with the group leader, who can provide you with the Zoom link.
The epic tale of how the ancient language that we call Proto-Indo-European went global, changing and fragmenting until its offspring were spoken from Scotland to China. The author sets out on a scientific quest to trace the world’s largest language family across continents and millennia back to its roots.
