Your ongoing support — whether through volunteer service, legislative advocacy, or philanthropic support — makes our work possible.
Support Students
UWRA is proud to support UW graduate and undergraduate students through our endowed scholarships and fellowships focused on research and careers related to aging. Your support for these students is a long-term investment in the health and well-being of all of us.
Volunteer Service
UWRA’s work on behalf of retirees — from events that speak to retiree interests to monitoring legislative issues that impact UW retirees — is made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers. If you’d like to get involved, email us at retiremt@uw.edu.
Legislative Advocacy
UWRA monitors legislative issues of particular importance to UW retirees, and advocates on behalf of our membership. We also work closely with UW Impact and the UW’s office of external affairs to support the University’s legislative priorities. Our success in these endeavors is directly related to the willingness of affected constituents to make their voices heard.
Support UWRA
Philanthropic gifts — whether through membership dues or a direct gift to our operating endowment — fund 100% of UWRA’s non-salary operations. When you support UWRA, you're supporting our events and programs, recognition for retirees, legislative advocacy on behalf of UW retirees, and reduced or waived membership dues for those for whom they present a barrier to participation.
